Executive Education’s Agile Project Management

January 10, 2012

A Simulating Experience in Agile Project Management

A three-day course in Agile Project Management, scheduled for Feb. 27-29, represents the newest addition to the Project Management education suite offered by Executive Education at Rutgers School of Business—Camden (SBC). The program incorporates a computer-based simulation experience to reinforce important principles, enabling students to manage Agile projects in a dynamic, real-time environment.

Agile methodology—which is gaining popularity in the project management field—is an approach that typically has been associated with software development. Agile is more flexible compared to traditional project management. Projects are built incrementally, allowing not just the project manager, but the project team to create plans for each increment and make adjustments according to changing customer and organizational needs.

The new Executive Education program will help those interested in Agile prepare for the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)SM exam, a recently launched Project Management Institute (PMI) certification. Additionally, students can choose to gain preparation for the PMP or CAPM exams by taking the Agile Project Management with Simulation course in conjunction with the online Executive Education Project Management Professional Certificate with PMP Preparation course.

Registration is underway. For details, visit the course website.
