A: Rutgers Exec Ed classes are canceled when the university is closed; which is a rare event. Check website for weather updates and cancellations.

A: Full payment is due at time of registration and is typically required one week prior to the class.

A: Yes, Smart Option Loans are available through Sallie Mae and other lenders.
Q:Is parking available for your programs?
A: Yes. Parking is provided for classes taking place on Rutgers-Camden campus and off campus. Parking instructions will be sent to each participant prior to classroom programs.
Q:Where do Rutgers Executive Education programs take place?
A: Programs are conducted both on-campus and off campus. Most open enrollment programs are held in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Q: Do I earn college credits for attending a Rutgers Exec Ed program?
A: No, but our programs do award Continuing Education Units, as well as many other industry specific credits. (such as SHRM, PDU, CFA, etc). See the specific program for details.

A: For all programs, business casual is appropriate. No jeans or running shoes.

Q: How does the applied certificate differ from the standard online certificate?
A: A “Plus 1″ certificate allows you to pursue 2 certificates (not all certificates qualify) in 2 different topics that will both support your career objectives.

A: You will receive program access information usually within 3 business days once your payment/contract is received.
Q: How long do I have to complete the certificate?
A: You are granted a maximum 6 months to complete each certificate; which requires approx 100 hours of your time.

A: No, there is not any pre-work required prior to beginning an online certificate program.
Q: Who are the Instructors?
A: Instructors in our online management certificate program are experienced professionals who have worked in their fields of study. They are skilled at both adult education as well as experts in their field.
Q: Am I required to purchase any books?
A: No. An extensive virtual book library is available throughout your program of study at no cost.
Q: What is the difference between the Online Certificate in Project Management Professional Certificate and PMP Prep and the Project Management Professional Certificate and PMP Prep with Agile, MS Project, or Primavera P6?
A: The difference is that the Project Management Professional Certificate and PMP with Agile, MS Project, or Primavera P6 is a full 100 hour certificate program PLUS a 3 day live classroom session

A: Green Belt Program: The classroom session is 4.5 days; Monday through Friday. Attendance is required for the entire week. You have 3 months from the end of the classroom session to complete the online courses. Extensions are available for a fee.
Black Belt Program: The classroom session is two-nonconsecutive weeks Monday through Friday.

Q: Does Green Belt and Black Belt training include Certification?

Q: How long am I Green Belt or Black Belt Certified through Rutgers? Must I do anything to maintain the Certification?
A: You are granted a lifelong certification by the approval board. You do not have to do anything to maintain this certification.

A: Laptops are not required but valuable for the Green Belt class. Laptops are required for the Black Belt class.

Q: What steps are required to obtain a DOL funded workforce grant?

6 Steps to Training for Workforce Grant-Eligible Applicants
1. Review the eligible programs listed on this web page – contact us with your questions and to get more detailed information about the program(s) that interest you.
2. Contact your local NJ One-Stop Career Center ASAP to determine your eligibility and begin the process to get a Workforce Grant; while these programs do not qualify for the NJ Tuition Waiver, they are eligible for WDP, WIA, ARRA, TRA, DVR and similar funding (note: a few programs are not eligible for “WIA” grants – see the individual listings on the NJ Training Opportunities website)
3. Once you have been instructed to prepare for a one-on-one meeting with your One-Stop Counselor, submit this online registration form.

Within 2-3 business days, we will e-mail you and your One-Stop Counselor a Letter of Acceptance which contains details on your training: dates, duration, curriculum, cost, etc. Sign and return a copy of the “Agreement” page. Your One-Stop Counselor may also send us (or give you to send us) a form for us to complete with information similar to what’s contained in the Letter of Acceptance.
6. Once your grant is approved, make sure your One-Stop Counselor faxes or e-mails us a copy of the “Contract” or “Fiscal Commitment” so we can get you started on schedule.
Q: How son can I start?
A: Once your contract is received by our office, we will notify you of your enrollment date. You will usually be able to begin your program within 1 week of our receiving the contract.
Q: When do I complete the Rutgers online registration form?
A: You should complete the Rutgers form ONLY when you have been officially approved by DOL of your DOL grant. This occurs generally only when a) you have made your appointment with your workforce counselor to finalize your grant; or b) you have been instruct

A: Yes. Workforce offices have consistently supported this in practice, and so does Rutgers.
