“The Caterpillar University/Rutgers University Sales Manager Certificate program was an excellent program and one I would highly recommend to all Caterpillar Dealer Sales Managers. In retrospect, the significant amount of time and effort that was invested in completing the program was well worth it. The format of the program was well organized and the content relevant and specific to the role of a Caterpillar Dealer Sales Manager. Many of the courses were a refresher for concepts that I learned in business school years ago, however, they were tailored to the current business world and more specifically to the Caterpillar product and service offerings. The concepts learned in some of the modules such as Customer Relationship Management, Sales Funnel Management, Strategic Planning, Business Strategy, Developing Solutions, and Service Marketing will all contribute into being more effective and successful in how we conduct our respective sales efforts. Other modules such as Being a Leader, Hiring and Developing a Sales Team, Coaching for Performance were very relevant and valuable for anyone in the role of Sales Manager. I found that while I was already doing many of these thing intuitively or through previous training and learning there is certainly always room for improvement. The concepts and ideas learned in the courses and modules afforded me the opportunity to evaluate those areas where I am effective and areas that I could improve. I strongly feel that by implementing the concepts learned I will be much more effective in my role as Sale Manager.”
