The business world is perpetually changing, which makes ongoing professional education an important part of long-term success. There are so many variables that can affect your small or family-owned business – some you can control; others that you can’t. How well you maintain and improve your financial and marketing skills to conduct business in today’s environment is one that you can control.

Enhancing these skills may not just make you a better business owner; it can also help you remain in business. In a market where fifty percent of small and family businesses fail within the first five years* , ongoing professional education can help give you the competitive edge to better organize your business operations and drive new revenue to sustain long-term growth.

To better assist small and family business owners in gaining an understanding of crucial financial and marketing strategies, the Rutgers School of Business-Camden and Archer & Greiner, a well-respected full-service regional law firm, have partnered up to develop a brand new training series designed specifically for small and family business owners to help them solidify these crucial skills in business.

The Archer & Greiner/Rutgers University Small and Family Business “Unlock Your Potential” Training Series (SFB Series) is a four-part educational series that reflects trending issues in finance and marketing geared towards small and family business. Each course will be taught by guest lecturers from the Rutgers School of Business as well as expert speakers from Archer & Greiner.

Once completed, local business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs can expect to gain a better understanding of finance and marketing strategies that they can utilize in their own higher order strategies to stay nimble in today’s competitive environment. Attendees have the option of choosing all four courses at a discounted price, or attending one or more sessions that appeal to their specific needs.  Those who attend at least three of the four sessions will earn a certificate of completion dually executed and branded by both Archer & Greiner and Rutgers University School of Business-Camden.

Upcoming Courses:

March 17, 2016: Financing Your Business for Growth: Exploring Options

April 21, 2016: Think Like a CFO: Managing Risk in Your Business
